The Council operates a Animal Welfare service to which customers will often be referred. The Animal Welfare service is able to deal with stray dogs in Clackmannanshire and with complaints about other people's dogs (noise, fouling, other nuisance and neglect).
Because dog barking normally only lasts a short while or is intermittent, it can be very hard for us to make a full assessment or catch the culprit in the act. We will only take formal action where a nuisance has been witnessed.
